Though to a lesser extent than last year - when they created nearly 40 rookies during the NFL Draft and dropped them into Madden Ultimate Team - EA Sports has created 10 from the 2013 class and added them to packs in Madden NFL 13. The ratings provide insight on what to expect when they debut in Madden NFL 25. (more…)...

The team rankings for MLB 13: The Show slipped out last week and now comes an opportunity to see the complete rosters for every team along with the overall rating of every player. Though 17 players rated 99 there is a somewhat substantial gap between those at the top and the other highly rated players. Only 5 are rated 98 and 2 rated 97. Teams heavily stacked with 90+ rated players are the Cardinals (7), Phillies (7), Nationals (6), Angels (6), Reds (6), Giants (5), Yankees (5), and Blue ...

Having been noted previously SCEA is shifting away from a "bar" representing a player's overall skill level and going to a numbered ratings system with MLB 13: The Show. Of course those numbers existed in past iterations they were just hidden away which makes it interesting to find out just how players stacked up then compared to new edition out next month. Apparenlty MLB 12 featured a mindboggling 44 players rated 99 overall while a change to the positional weight of individual attribute...

Three weeks ago an evaluation was done on the league's starting quarterbacks in Madden NFL 13 by looking at their current overall rating and how that matched up with their production for the current season. With three roster updates since then and more data to consider it's time to look again at where each of them (and a few new ones) stand and whether they could be considered overrated or underrated when matched up against the "average" QB statistically and it's respective translation to Ma...

Having already run through the quarterbacks and running backs as the season reached the midway point attention this week can turn to wide receivers and where they stand as currently rated in Madden NFL 13. Simply looking at stats will not tell the whole story of how a player can be rated of course. In the case of receivers there are aspects of their game such as blocking, awareness, route running, dropped passes, and attention level from defenses that won't necessarily translate to the ty...

Sitting at approximately the mid-season mark has allowed for some more proper examination of current player ratings in Madden NFL 13. Last time it was the quarterbacks, and in a few weeks they'll get checked up on again, but this time around focus turns to the running backs. Of course there is no way to account for everything that goes into a RB's attributes or their circumstances - which can include but are certainly not limited to their blocking abilities, system of splitting carries an...

There will always be some level of debate when it comes to player ratings in any sports video game. Madden, with the frequent roster updates, gets the most scrutiny as adjustments are made on such a regular basis that it should result in the most accurate representation of a player's current status within the league. Player ratings will be heavily influenced by the past - that is the baseline to adjust from as new data is added - but the purpose should be to present each individual as the...

With the offseason additions of Steve Nash and Dwight Howard the Los Angeles Lakers enter NBA 2K13 as the top rated team in the game. Despite winning the championship and adding Ray Allen the Miami Heat don't hold the top spot but come in at number two instead which is sure to incite debate. The Thunder follow behind at three while the Bulls, presumably with Derrick Rose factoring in despite his injury, enter as the fourth highest team. Continue on to check out the defensive, offensive, and ...
